How do we make a Powdercoated Steel Cube Planter Pot?We laser-cut the steel to ensure our design is precisely and consistently replicated for each item. Once the laser cutting is complete, we use specialist machinery to apply folds to the sheet steel. We complete the fabrication by hand using highly skilled, qualified fabricators who take immense pride in their work.Once fabrication is complete, we degrease the surface to remove any impurities from the Electro zinc plated steel. Polyester powder is applied to the steel using an electric static charge, this then is baked in an oven so the colour binds to the steel. Everything is proudly made in the UK, and none of our products or processes are imported from overseas. Each Square Cube Planter has a double-folded return top lip feature. A lot of similar products on the market leave a steel edge, or a single fold. We have opted for a double fold for several reasons:It's a much higher quality, premium finish (It just looks so much better!)It gives the Cube unbelievable strength and rigidity, andIt's safer for hands when planting. All corners are fully seam welded, we take time and effort to smooth welds which provides amazing corner and edge detail. Once we’re finished you won’t know where the welds are! As they are handmade by our professional fabricators each Powdercoated Cube is ever so slightly unique adding to the charm of this product. What is it made of?Our Powdercoated Steel Planters are made from Electro-Zinc Plate the steel which gives the planter a strong barrier against rust and provides a perfect surface the powdercoating! We make all our Steel planters from 2mm thick steel as standard. Any custom sizes can be produced in up to 6mm steel depending on the intended use. We offer all of our Arden Square and Cube range in Corten Steel and Rustic Patina materials also. How will my order arrive? We have a trusted network of nationwide pallet and parcel couriers. Larger-sized planters or orders with larger quantities will arrive via a pallet courier, and smaller-sized orders will arrive via one of our parcel courier partners. All deliveries are fully tracked. See Delivery Policy for more info.Does the planter just sit on the ground? No, all our Metal Planters come with fixed 15mm feet that are hidden underneath the planter. The feet keep the planter ever so slightly off the ground to give the effect that it is floating. Practically this also helps with drainage. We can make any of our planters bottomless so they can be installed directly on soil as a raised flower bed. We can also add adjustable height legs or castors to the bottom of your planter. Can a Powdercoated Cube Planter Pot be used Indoors as well?Yes! They are suitable for domestic, commercial, indoor, and outdoor use. The planters come with drainage holes as standard, if using indoors you may want to request we make the planter to a watertight specification. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us for some more advice on this before ordering planters indoors. We may not be able to guarantee full water tightness if the planter is being supplied in the section as described above. How do I maintain it?You don’t have to! Honest! Unlike wooden or plastic alternatives no maintenance is required at all! All you need to do is fill, plant, and enjoy!Other things to noteAll dimensions are in millimeters and in Length x Width x Height format. For example, 1200x1200x600 is 1200mm long, 12000mm Wide, and 600mm high.Once production is started, we may not be able to accommodate requests or amends. For other Powdercoated planters, check out our main page.Whilst powder coating is an extremely durable and weather-resistant surface, it can be damaged by sharp objects. If the powder coating layer is penetrated as far as the raw steel by a deep scratch or scrape, water may get behind the powder coating and cause it to flake away over time.A deep scuff or a scratch on an otherwise pristine, sleek surface can look unsightly, and unlike ‘wet’ paints, powder coating cannot be repaired in situ.Care should be taken when handling the planters in installation and during use so as to not damage the protective powder-coated finish. Any defects in the planters and powdercoating should be notified within 24 hours from delivery.
